Well done for Lifestyles everyone!

LOTS of good feedback about the event. We know a few people spent nearly the whole of the previous week helping to prepare the site so BIG thanks to them. But also impressive was the number of people who turned out to help with the bars, so everything ran smoothly and no-one ended up doing an all-night stint. So thanks, everyone who helped.

I don't know anything about the competitions, perhaps someone will let me know so I can add them to the website.

Kitesurfing at Brancaster

Please respect the notices at Brancaster about restricted areas, reproduced below. People including HSC members have been kitesurfing near the ternery which is not allowed. If our members do this they are jeopardising the right to kitesurf at Brancaster for everyone. A lot of time and effort has been put into negotiations with NT so we can use this beach.

We have more info about the beaches we use under "Local Info/Kitesurfing Guidelines". This includes the advice "when on the water stay to the west of an imaginary line running from the golf clubhouse to the shipwreck. In particular do not kitesurf near to the Ternery & the wreck."

Please look after our access: use common sense and observe the rules.

HSC Success at BKSA Finals!

Four HSC members picked up trophies at the recent British Kite Surfing Association finals in Blackpool. The conditions were less than favourable but HSC members battled through to secure the following end of season results:

BKSA Amateur Ladies Freestyle

2010 Champion: Danielle Durrant
3rd place: Chloe Durrant

BKSA Amateur Men Freestyle

2010 Champion: Marcus Hawkins
3rd place: Simon Light

Also representing Hunstanton Sailing Club were Dave Handley, Poppy Hawkins and Dan Vaughan.

HSC Members Prepare for BKSA Finals Blackpool

The British Kite Surfing Association (BKSA) freestyle finals are taking place on 14th-17th October in Blackpool. Several HSC members have entered the BKSA competitions this year and competing at Blackpool (in alphabetical surname order!) will be: Chloe Durrant, Danielle Durrant, Dave Handley, Marcus Hawkins, Poppy Hawkins and Simon Light.
