As I’m sure you know – the club wouldn’t be able to function without all the amazing volunteers who regularly give up their time and services for free.
With that in mind just want to give a big thanks to Mark Lees for digging out and replacing the cesspit cover.
Not the most glamorous job – but essential all the same – cheers Mark
AED
On behalf of the sailing club I just want to say thank you to everyone who made a donation at Sean Sands funeral service back in March and to let you know that your money went towards buying a defibrillator for the club.
Huge thanks to Hunstanton Round Table who – when they heard our plans – stepped in and more than doubled these funds so that we could also buy a weatherproof, temperature-controlled external cabinet for the defibrillator which now means the AED is available to everyone
Pictured are members of Sean’s family together with members of Hunstanton Round Table. Sean was always a keen supporter of the round table’s Christmas swim – and this year in Sean’s memory they plan to donate the money raised towards the air ambulance and RNLI.
If you’ve never done the Christmas swim before and fancy giving it a go this year – registration forms are available here
Sunday’s open day cancelled
Wow – that was a scorcher!
THANK YOU! to everyone that helped out at the taster day today and i hope everyone who took part enjoyed themselves
Just to say we’re going to have to cancel the open day tomorrow (Sunday) as with up to 45mph offshore winds forecast – it would simply be unsafe.
Apologies to anyone who was hoping to come tomorrow….
taster weekend
Just a quick reminder if you’re coming along to the ‘Family and Friends’ weekend this saturday and sunday (10am – 4pm) – please bring along suitable clothing and particularly footwear (bare-feet not advised). Also please be aware that all under-18′s must be accompanied by an adult – and anyone going on the water must wear a buoyancy aid (available from the club if you don’t have your own)
