Thanks to Dave Gumb for scanning in the pages of Betty Worsfold’s ‘A Brief History of Hunstanton Sailing Club’. I’ve converted it to a pdf file but the smallest i could get it is 21MB!
So rather than just clicking on the link below – the best bet is to download it to your computer by:
MAC: control-click then ‘download linked file as’
PC: right-click then ‘save target as’ (or on Windows 8: left-click then choose ‘save’ rather than ‘open’)
Hunstanton Sailing Club Annual General Meeting will be taking place at 1pm on the 10th August at the club.
Hopefully everyone’s already received notice and nominations papers by post but please find below pdf’s of all the relevant documentation including motions already suggested and a copy of the existing constitution.
Thanks to the skill and determination of Ian Holland, Stuart Moore, Will Rockcliffe and a few other valuable helpers the Sarah D is now finally on the mooring and ready for North West Norfolk Weekend and of course the major event in our sailing calendar the Mirror Miracles 40th Anniversary Nationals in August. I would also like to thank those members who came down two weeks ago and helped me finish painting the Boat. It’s been a long wait this year but when you see her at her mooring, it’s all suddenly worthwhile.
Big thanks to Will Rockcliffe for hanging around all day to help sort out the first stage of the new first floor fire-escape today
PLEASE don’t attempt to use it yet – only temporary legs at the moment until the footings are completed – handrails fitted etc.
Are you around next saturday 12th July?
Would you be willing to help launch the club’s new committee boat the Sarah D? (replacement for the ‘Pig’)
The plan is to get it on the beach by 3pm – and the more helpers the better!
Club legend and salty sea dog Ian Holland will be on hand to marshal the troops – so don’t worry if you’ve never done it before.
Please reply to firstname.lastname@example.org if you’re able to give a hand.
Quick update on bar opening times this weekend – thanks to the awesome Chris Roan the bar will now also be open Saturday 7 – 11pm.
Remember Steve Murfet is your barman friday night and dare I say it but the forecast is looking promising – so with low tide around 6pm why not have a sail / kite then enjoy confusing Steve with as many complicated drinks orders as possible while watching France v Germany and Brazil v Columbia on the club’s new 50 inch TV?
